Dr. Phillip H. Kuo M.D., PhD. University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson. Associate Professor for Departments of Radiology, Medicine, and Biomedical Engineering, Section Chief of Nuclear Medicine, Director of PET/CT and Laboratory Principal Investigator in the Arizona Cancer Center. Dr. Kuo joined the Arizona Health Sciences Center at The University of Arizona in 2008 as Associate Professor for Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology- Oncology and later joined the Departments of Radiology and Biomedical Engineering. He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University in Chemistry in 1994. Dr. Kuo continued his pursuit of higher education at the University of Virginia where he earned a Masters of Science in Molecular Physiology and Biological Physics in 1998, PhD in Molecular Physiology and Biological Physics in 1999 and his M.D. from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 2000. Dr. Kuo completed an Internal Medicine Residency at UCLA Medical Center and then went on to Yale New Haven Hospital where he completed a Fellowship in Nuclear Medicine. He was Assistant Clinical Professor for the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Yale University School of Medicine through 2008. In this time Dr. Kuo also completed a Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Yale New Haven Hospital before joining The University of Arizona in the summer of 2008. He is involved in the education of residents, medical students, graduates and undergraduates. Dr. Kuo has 4 board certifications in Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Kuo has published in prestigious journals including The New England Journal of Medicine, Nature, Radiology, and Journal of the American College of Radiology.

Arnold C. Friedman M.D. FACR Professor of Radiology, University of Arizona, Director of CT Colonography Program, University of Arizona. Dr. Friedman joined the Arizona Health Sciences Center at The University of Arizona in 2006 as Professor of Radiology. He received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University in Chemistry and continued his pursuit of higher education at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he received his M.D. in 1975. Dr. Friedman completed his medical internship at Mount Sinai Hospital, University of Connecticut, and accepted the position of Chief Resident in Radiology at the Montefiore Hospital in 1976. From 1979-1983, he was an Instructor and then promoted to an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Radiology Uniformed Services, University of Health Sciences, Bethesda, MD. During the same period of time, he held the position of Assistant Professorial Lecturer in the Dept. of Radiology, George Washington University School of Medicine, Washington, DC, which then led to the position of Associate Professor, George Washington University School of Medicine through 1984. As his career continued to progress, Dr. Friedman accepted the position of Associate Professor, Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, in 1984, and was promoted to Professor, Dept. of Diagnostic Imaging in 1989. From 1992-1997, he held the position of Professor and Chairman at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He was Associate Chairman of Radiology at Beth Israel New York from 1997-2000 and Professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He was Professor and Chairman of Radiology at the University of Florida, Jacksonville from 2000-2006 before joining The University of Arizona in the fall of 2006. As a renowned research institute, The University of Arizona will provide Dr. Friedman an environment that will continue to support his extensive research and publications in the areas of Abdominal Imaging, CT Colonography, Computer-Aided Diagnosis, and 3D Imaging.

Wojciech Mazur M.D., FACC Director, Advanced Cardiac Imaging, The Christ Hospital Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine and Pediatrics Regional Workgroup Dr. Mazur specializes in cardiovascular imaging, including cardiovascular CT and MR. He received his medical education at the Medical Academy in Poznan, Poland. He then completed a post-doctoral fellowship in molecular and experimental cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine in Texas. This was followed by an internship and residency in internal medicine, also at Baylor, where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed a three-year cardiology fellowship at Baylor. Prior to joining Ohio heart, Dr. Mazur served as Assistant Professor of Cardiology at Wake Forest University in North Carolina. Dr. Mazur now practices with The Ohio Heart and Vascular Center in Cincinnati, OH www.ohioheartandvascular.com. He is the only cardiologist in this area trained in the combined fields of MR and CT scanning. He is Board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Mazur is a founding member of SCCT. Dr. Mazur is level III certified in cardiac CTA and has co-founded the cardiac CT program at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH www.thechristhospital.com.

Robert Pelberg M.D. graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he graduated as a Benjamin Franklin cholar. He then earned his MD degree from Northwestern University Medical School where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) medical honor society. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. His fellowship in cardiovascular diseases was completed at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center in Charlottesville, Virginia. At Virginia, Dr. Pelberg extensively trained in general consultative cardiology, cardiac catheterization, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology, while publishing multiple cardiovascular research articles and book chapters. Dr. Pelberg currently practices with the Ohio Heart and Vascular Center www.ohioheartandvascular.com. Before coming to Ohio, Dr. Pelberg was in practice in West Palm Beach, Florida. Dr. Pelberg is board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography. Dr. Pelberg is level III certified in cardiac CTA and is a founding member of the SCCT. He has co-founded the cardiac CT programs at Middletown Regional Hospital in Middletown, Ohio and at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio www.thechristhospital.com. Dr. Pelberg is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the American Society of Echocardiography and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
